DODOMA: Braydon Bent, a devoted fan of England’s Manchester City Football Club, has realized his long-time dream of visiting Tanzania.

He was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji.

Bent’s journey from the Etihad Stadium to the wonders of the Serengeti and Mount Kilimanjaro was made possible through the efforts of Minister Kijaji and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Hassan Abbasi.

The fan had been promised a trip to Tanzania since 2020 and is known for sharing videos where he speaks Kiswahili.

“It has been my greatest dream to come to this beautiful country. With this warm welcome, I can already tell my journey has started off perfectly,” said Bent, who was accompanied by his father, Mark.

Beyond his fandom, Bent works as a broadcaster for Manchester City coverage on Sky News and has had the opportunity to interview stars like Neymar, Sergio Agüero, and coach Pep Guardiola.
