DAR ES SALAAM: THE Mining Commission has called on investors, miners, development partners, students and the general public to visit its exhibition at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), to explore Tanzania’s abundant mineral resources and the growing investment opportunities within the sector.

Exhibiting at the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion at the Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds, the Commission is showcasing Tanzania’s rich mineral wealth while offering visitors first-hand information on mineral rights licensing, investment opportunities, regulatory services and advanced mineral testing technologies.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Messenger, the Commission’s Communication and Public Relations Manager, Mr. Greyson Mwase, said the annual trade fair provides a valuable platform for engaging directly with stakeholders and the public while promoting the country’s rapidly expanding mining industry.

“We warmly welcome investors, miners, students, development partners and members of the public to visit our pavilion and discover the enormous opportunities available in Tanzania’s mineral sector. Our experts are on hand to provide guidance on mineral rights licensing, regulatory compliance, mineral testing services and the Government’s ongoing initiatives to promote sustainable mining and attract investment across the entire mineral value chain,” Mwase said.

He noted that the Commission remains committed to increasing public awareness of the mining industry and ensuring that both Tanzanians and international investors benefit from opportunities created through the government’s continued reforms aimed at strengthening the sector.

Visitors to the pavilion are receiving expert guidance on procedures for acquiring mineral rights, investing in mining projects and complying with Tanzania’s legal and regulatory framework. The Commission is also demonstrating its state-of-the-art X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) laboratory technology, which provides fast, accurate and reliable mineral analysis services for investors and miners.

As part of its public education campaign, the Commission is promoting responsible mining practices, environmental conservation, occupational health and safety, and Government programmes designed to empower small-scale miners through formalisation, technical training and improved access to support services.

The exhibition further highlights Tanzania’s favourable investment climate and the government’s commitment to building a transparent, competitive and sustainable mining industry that continues to drive economic growth, create jobs and contribute to national development.

Mwase said the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair remains one of the country’s most important business platforms, bringing together government institutions, investors, mining communities and private sector players while positioning Tanzania as one of Africa’s leading destinations for mineral investment.

He encouraged all stakeholders and members of the public to visit the Ministry of Minerals Pavilion throughout the exhibition to learn more about Tanzania’s mineral potential, investment opportunities, licensing procedures and the wide range of services offered by the Mining Commission.
