THE Chairperson of the Tanzanian Local Content Committee under the Mining Commission, Dr Theresia Numbi, is set to outline the vast business and investment opportunities available through the mining sector during a live interview on Star TV’s Tuongee Asubuhi programme tomorrow morning.
The interview, scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., will also feature the Mining Commission’s Director of Mineral Audit and Trade, CPA Venance Kasiki, who will discuss the significance of the 5th Local Content Compliance Forum (LCCF 2026) and its role in expanding Tanzanian participation across the mining value chain.
During the programme, the two officials are expected to explain how the country’s local content policy is creating greater opportunities for Tanzanians, enhancing value addition in the mining industry and strengthening the participation of indigenous businesses in mining-related economic activities.
The LCCF 2026 will take place from July 22 to 24, 2026, at the Malaika Beach Resort in Mwanza under the patronage of the Minister for Minerals, Anthony P. Mavunde (MP).
Organised by the Mining Commission, the three-day forum will bring together mining companies, suppliers of goods and services to the mining industry, mineral traders, investors, public and private institutions, as well as members of the public to explore practical strategies for increasing Tanzanian participation in the country’s rapidly growing mining sector.
According to the Mining Commission, participants will benefit from expert presentations, panel discussions, specialised training sessions and exhibitions designed to deepen their understanding of local content implementation while exposing them to new business, procurement and investment opportunities within the mining industry.
The forum will also provide an important platform for networking, knowledge sharing, strategic partnerships and discussions on how to enhance local participation throughout the entire mining value chain.
Activities will run for three consecutive days, beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day.
The Mining Commission has encouraged stakeholders in the mining sector and the general public to watch the live Star TV interview to gain insights into the preparations for LCCF 2026 and the opportunities available through the forum.
