THE Slovak Republic has opened an embassy in Tanzania, marking a significant milestone in the country’s diplomatic relations with the East African nation.
The newly appointed Ambassador of Slovakia to Tanzania, H.E. Ivan Lančarič, presented his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Ngwaru Maghembe, in Dodoma on December 10, 2025.
The opening of the embassy is a result of Tanzania’s excellent diplomatic efforts under the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. The embassy is expected to strengthen diplomatic ties between Tanzania and Slovakia, particularly in the areas of investment, trade, and tourism.
