President Samia Apraised For Backing Youth, Disabled Economically

THE Parliamentary Social Services and Community Development Committee hailed President Samia Suluhu Hassan for economically empowering the youth, as well as the people with disabilities.
The kudos has been showered by MP Fatuma Toufiq, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Social Services and Community Development Committee.
She was speaking at the committee meeting to receive report on the implementation of the Youth Development Fund, as well as the implementation of the National Skills Development Program (NSDP), which is being coordinated by the Office of the Prime Minister, Labour, Youth, Employment and the Disabled.
She said the Committee will continue standing stable and keen to advice the government pertaining to diverse strategies that are necessarily need to be put in place to enable more youth in the country to acquire friendly capital loans from financial institutions.
And she added, more must be done to have the youth communities across the country to tap and benefiting from numerous potential economic opportunities that cropping up in their areas.
For her part, the Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities, ProfJoyce Ndalichako expressed that her office has made improvements to the fund’s guidelines in 2023 in order to expand the range of loan rates provided and enable individuals to borrow instead of a group.
