ZANZIBAR– THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has sworn in Ms Amina Chande Muumini as the Deputy Director General of the Zanzibar Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Authority (ZAECA).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the State House in Zanzibar, coinciding with a meeting of the Revolutionary Council.
Ms Muumini’s appointment follows a recent nomination by the President.
In his remarks, President Mwinyi emphasized the importance of ZAECA’s role in combating corruption and economic crimes in Zanzibar.

He urged Ms Muumini to work diligently in her new position and contribute to the authority’s efforts to promote transparency and accountability.
Ms Muumini, who has taken over the position from the late Deputy Director General, pledged to uphold the principles of integrity and professionalism in her new role.
She thanked the President for the trust placed in her and vowed to work closely with ZAECA staff to achieve the authority’s objectives.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by government officials, ZAECA staff, and other dignitaries.
