Ambassador Mwadini Urges TALIRI To Roll Out Livestock Research Results To Pastoralists

👉 Ambassador Mwadini Remain Optimistic Effective Use Of Research Results Will Enable Local Pastoralists To Scale – Up Productivity In The Sector

 

DODOMA. TANZANIA Ambassador to France, H.E Ali Mwadini has challenged the Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) to ensure timely utilization of results for various key research being undertaken by the Institute.

To achieve this, the Envoy urged TALIRI to develop a friendly platform to dispatch the useful results to the livestock keepers across the country in order to boost performance of the economic sector.

The Ambassador made the patriotic appeal Tuesday August 2025 when paid a special visit at the TARILI’s pavilion at the ongoing Nanenane Annual Agricultural Festival taking shape at national level in Dodoma’s famous NaneNane Grounds.

He expressed, the development will enable the pastoralist communities in the country to transform their executions and thus, attaining the much- needed productivity in the sector.

The Envoy expressed to have been impressed by the diverse research conducted by TALIRI, especially those based on improved seeds for pastures.

“I am far satisfied and impressed with the manner to which you’re working round the clock to hatch modern technologies for the betterment of the Tanzania’s livestock sector,” he appreciated.

He similarly urged the pastoralists in the country to make brave use of the diverse cloud- connected livestock technologies being produced to heighten productivity.

Speaking for his part, the Director of department of technology transfer at TALIRI, Mr Gilbert Msuta, expressed that the Institute was running a series of outreach programs to impart the  livestock keepers across with the hatched technologies.

“We’re also using seminars, livestock exhibitions and media outlets to communicate the technologies to pastoralists,” Msuta unveiled.

Together with that, he informed that TALIRI has established a useful program which enabling the livestock keepers to physically visiting the Institute’s offices that scattered at all zones in the country for acquiring relevant vital skills.

He urged the livestock keepers to visit the TALIRI pavilion at Nanenabe grounds in order to fraternizing with different technologies.

It comprises seven research centers strategically located across Tanzania’s agro-ecological zones and has its headquarters in Dodoma.
