“As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep,”John 10: 15
PRIEST Mussa Mwacha has said Jesus was not Killed at the cross, but he gave his own life so as to redeem human beings from all shackles of devil, through his royal blood.
In his preaching this afternoon, Sunday April 20, 2025, during Easter service, the man of God who leads the Fresh Spring Fellowship Church Tanzania said Easter (Passover) reflects the day when Jesus delivered the Christians ( and all human beings) from darkness.
He added, Easter was the time when God himself made a major sacrifice through the death and blood of his beloved son, Jesus Christ.
“The sacrifice, laid an eternal foundation to free us from sins, death, and all troubles and all evils power from satan,” he said.
He alluded to the book of Psalms 27: 6, which reads, : “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD,”
“Easter is the day to remember the sacrifice of joy which God gave to have us surviving and flourishing in abundance,” he said.
” And in Psalms 3:3,” the Priest added, the Bible reads: “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head,”
Giving interpretation to this, the popular Priest said Easter marks the new chapter for the Christians to have their heads lifted up, meaning free and victorious life which is above all power of satan.
“It is for this spiritual reason that Jesus gave himself his life and shed his blood for our redemption,” he added, as the Bible reads in John 10: 15-18.
“As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep,”
“Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again,”
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father,”
