WHI Set To Educate Prospective Faida Fund Investors

WATUMISHI Housing Investments (WHI) is stepping up efforts to embark on a major program to provide investment education to enable prospective investors to invest in Faida Fund and other similar funds meant to grow their wealth.
The program stands among other vital initiatives that the state-owned property developer plans to implement in the current fiscal year of 2023/24.
The WHI Head of Communications Unit, Mary-jane Kawaia expressed that Faida Fund was initiated early this year by the company, whereby the value of the unit has grown from 100/-to 106/- and the fund size is now from zero to at least 16bn/-
“Faida Fund targets institutional and ordinary investors including bodaboda, food vendors, employees, peasants, livestock keepers, as well as savings groups,” she said.
Together with that, the WHI Communications Chief Boss added that in this fiscal year the company has lined up a number of projects, focused to erect more affordable housing units for public servants and members of pension funds.
“Projects slated for this year include the Mikocheni Address located at one of the most prime areas in the Dar es salaam suburb where 104 affordable homes will be constructed and sold to public servants and members of pension funds,” she unveiled.
Kawaia detailed that the houses will be sold at prices ranging from 45m/- to 190m/- in order to accomodate buyers from all walks of life.
“Currently we are finalising preparation for the launch of the project in a few months,” she said.
Another project, according to her entails completion of landed 205 affordable homes at Njedengwa Hilltop and construction of 60 apartments at Kisasa in Dodoma.
“Njedengwa area is one of the most prime areas in Dodoma City with provision of all basic infrastructure of water, tarmac roads and electricity,” she informed, adding that so far, all 205 homes developed have been sold out.
Together with that, she said the other housing projects slated for 2023/2024 includes sale of 226 affordable plots at Usa River in Arusha City planned in a 112 acres land just 1.5km from Moshi Arusha Road.
