
The world-class facility is located at Terminal One of the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam.
DAR ES SALAAM: VICE-PRESIDENT, Ambassador Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi has inauguration the Tanzania’s state-of-the-art Presidential Pavilion at the Dar es Salaam’s International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam.
The world-class facility, installed at Terminal One of the JNIA, has been well designed for receiving Heads of State and Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs) who will be jetting -in the country through the key aviation facility.
In his remarks at a brief ceremony for the official launching of the facility, Dr Nchimbi stressing that the government will continue to invest heavily in infrastructures across different sectors, particularly transport.
He called on the public to safeguard, preserve and ensure the proper use of infrastructures being developed for the benefit of both present and future generations.
The VP noted that the various infrastructure projects visible today have involved substantial costs and are the result of collective efforts and contributions by all Tanzanians.
“I call upon the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) to exercise strict oversight in managing this facility, ensure it is properly maintained, and preserve its quality and standards so that it continues to provide high-quality services over the long term for the broader benefit of the nation,” said Dr. Nchimbi.
He noted that the pavilion, uniquely the first of its kind in East Africa, presents a significant opportunity to enhance the country’s image, strengthen diplomacy, and promote international relations.
Dr. Nchimbi further emphasized that alongside the completion of this facility, the sixth-phase government remains fully committed to implementing various sectoral development projects as outlined in the National Development Vision 2050 and the 2025 Chama Cha Mapinduzi Election Manifesto.
He stated that the government will continue to improve infrastructure and services at airports, on roads, in maritime transport, and within the railway sector, while also strengthening the operations of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL).
“These efforts aim to improve domestic and international connectivity, reduce transport costs, and enhance Tanzania’s economy and international trade,” he said.
The Vice-President added that the government is also advancing the integration of airport, road, water, and railway services in line with the implementation of a multi-modal transport system, as directed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
