Tanzania’s Renown Activist For Albino Communities Picks Nomination Form To Vie For Parliamentary Seat In Mpwapwa Constituency

DODOMA. LOCAL renown activist for the people with albinism, Mr Michael Salali, has picked the nomination form to contest for parliamentary seat in Mpwapwa constituency, Dodoma region.

Speaking shortly  after collecting the form, the skin impaired aspirant who is the Director of  Foundation for Disabilities Hope (FDH) expressed that he is eyeing for an opportunity to envoy  the citizens of Mpwapwa in the National Assembly in order to help the Government to propel socioeconomic development in the area.

He added, he has been an active member of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) for over 17 consecutive years.

Mr Salali noted, he was very ambitious to break the long -standing syndrome for the people with disabilities in the country to rely on  public sympathy in order to get special seats at the August house.

“I want to prove that people with diverve forms of disability have equal rights, and can stand strong to compete for key leadership and decision making positions in the country,” he said.

If nominated, among others, the adamant Salali briefed that he will use the vital political position to fight for the rights and welfare of the disabilities in the constituency, and Tanzania as a whole, as stipulated under CCM’s manifesto.

” I am thankful to the chairperson of CCM, President Samia Suluhu Hassan for exercising good politics and patriotism to the tune of allowing and motivating the disables to handle key decision making positions in Tanzania,” he appreciated.

He urged the other Tanzania’s who are handicapped with different physical challenges to turn out in multitude and vie for numerous leadership positions in the forthcoming general election.
