President Samia Expresses Delight On Process, Citizens Participation In Election Of Local Government Leaders

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan this morning ( November 27, 2024) cast her ballot in the general election to elect the local government leaders while expressed to have been satisfied with the pace of residents to turn out for the crucial exercise in different areas across the country.
Speaking shortly after cast her ballot at Chamwino village in Chamwino district of Dodoma region, the Head of State spoke over the need for the Tanzania’s to use the exercise to elect the best leaders who will help to bring about development at their respective areas.
The President insisted, the election of local government leaders holds a paramount importance towards improvement of socioeconomic development from grassroots across the country.
” I believe the Tanzanian’s will today use their statutory rights to vote for the best and patriotic leaders who will stand firmly to bring them needed services and development in their areas,” the President said.
For his side, the Vice President, Dr Philip Mpango who cast his ballot in the Kigoma region urged residents to cooperate with the leaders to be elected in their respective areas.
