Katoto Sports Academy Introduces Court Football Ground, Training Camp To Young Players in Dodoma Capital City

 

Coach Paul Ingavi, head of operations at Katoto Sports Academy trains children court football during the inception day of the ‘Kids Holiday Camp’ which is taking shape for 12 consecutive days at the academy.


Court football, most commonly known as Futsal, is a variant of association football played between two teams, comprising  five or seven players each on a court smaller than a football pitch. 


DODOMA. IN EFFORT to introduce diversified sports in Dodoma Capital City, Katoto Sports Academy (KSA) has installed modern artificial turf grounds for court football, and a special training camp for training the young players.

Court football, most commonly known as Futsal, is a variant of association football played between two teams, comprising  five or seven players each on a court smaller than a football pitch. 

The timely training clinic, dubbed “Kids Holiday Camp“, will also feature special training on other games at the academy, including sketting, taekwondo and lawn tennis.

Mr. Paul Ingavi, the academy’s head of operations -cum- head coach yesterday told the publication that at least a total of 12 children has already enrolled with the camp which commenced on Monday.

“We have set affordable and patriotic charges to allow many parents to enroll their children, and apart from training sessions the young players they’ will be getting healthier lunch packages throughout the camp duration,” he noted.

He communicated that the Dodoma’s upcoming famous academy has decided to hatch the 12-  day camp to give the children an ample opportunity to celebrate their holiday season meaningful.

“Through the camp, the participating children will be improving their physical and cognitive health, a development that will assist them in refraining from engaging in negative habits that destroy their welfare,” he insisted.

To ensure the camp achieves the much- needed results, he said the academy has recruited high- profile coaches for all the games trained at the camp.

He stated that the ongoing camp is being conducted at the academy’s headquarters, located in the Njedengwa investment areas on the outskirts of Dodoma Capital City..

Katoto Sports Academy is Tanzania’s leading hub for training children in a variety of sports, with the aim of generating active future players to serve the nation at different local and international championships.

Based in Dodoma Capital City, the multi- million investment is now undergoing various projects for the erection and facelifting of key sports infrastructures
