DODOMA. Miyuji, the Dodoma’s famous but underdog ward mapped in Dodoma City Council is likely to receive a major facelift in- terms of all key facets of the much – needed human and economic development.
This, is due to the adamant and strong determination by the Elected Councilor for ward, Mr Ringo Iringo to pledge readiness to implement an array of viable plans to transform the area with an estimated population of at least 36,588 (as per 2022 census) into a better sky to live.
In his maiden public appearance and speech to launch his campaign for the key political position yesterday, September 6, Saturday 2025, Mr Ringo who ascended to the post unopposed through Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) expressed a number of plans meant to improve rolling out of key social services towards the Wananchi that dwells in the ward.
These, among others include education, safe water, road infrastructures, healthcare facilities, as well as crucial services and supports towards women, youth, disabled and vulnerable households.
“I am gentle, generous, humble, but weak when it comes to development,” the Councilor said.
Detailing over what he will implement in a period of five years ahead, Mr Ringo whose operating moto is ‘Tupo Site Tunajenga Miyuji Mpya’ said there will be erection of a secondary school to address the long- standing problem of lack of the secondary education facility in the ward.
“We have already acquired chunk land in the ward for the construction of the secondary school,” he assured.
Moreover, Mr Ringo said there will be a project for the construction of more classrooms at Mpamaa and Mlimwa C primary schools, as well erection of houses for teachers at varied schools in the ward.
As per the set CCM’s Manifesto development plans for five- years in the ward, Mr Ringo said there will be installation of roads infrastructures at tarmac levels.
The roads to be impacted, according to him, include Upendo – Mpamaa and Mipango- Mpaa roads.
” I am very determined to open Miyuji economically, and roads in fractures stand tall among key factors to help achieve this,” he stated.
Mr Ringo said he will also work round the clock to ensure the youth, women and disabled are in access to get the loans being rolled out by the Government to assist the groups to venture onto various income generating projects to help them escape from shackles of poverty.
“Not only that, but I am planning to establish a special industrial cluster, to be the maiden such establishment in the Dodoma region, for empowering entrepreneurs to embark on small- scale and medium industries for the processing of diverse goods,” he promised.
To ensure the ward is facelifted to a modern city ever, he said plans are afoot to establish a vast , but modern market, as well as a bus stand nearby the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP)’s Miyuji campus.
