DAR ES SALAAM. APOSTLE Boniface Mwamposa, the Continental Popular Prophet, has said giving money to worshipers from the altar is against spiritual principles.
In his Sunday Service preaching this afternoon at his famous church mapped at Tanganyika packers grounds, in Kawe Dar es Salaam, the Man of God spent over 22 minutes to clarify through Bible versions, and from his long- standing spiritual experience how the said action carries negative spiritual outcomes.
“We’re not reading anywhere in the Bible where Prophets or any Servants of God have ever provided money from the altar,”
“Principally, an altar is a holy place where people (believers) are going to give offerings to God, and receive a word of blessings from the mouth of Prophets regardless of their financial positions,” he insisted.
He reffered to the Book of Mark 12: 41 -44 which reads:
“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much,”
“And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing,”
“And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living,”
He insisted, even the ancestors who used to worship ghosts, they used to go to their altars to give different sacrifices, but not take anything from an altar of ghosts.
The Man of God challenged the Tanzanians to be vigilant against spiritual ministries where Prophets are providing free money from an altar, saying the tendency will kill them (worshipers) spiritually.
“There’re many ways through which Men of God can assist their worshipers financially, but not providing money straight from an altar, this is not right and it is against the Lord,” he insisted.
