Chief Secretary Hailed Prime Minister’s Office For Professional Management Of Govt City Construction

CHIEF Secretary,  Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka have expressed to have been impressed with the manner to which the Prime Minister’s Office is making professional coordination of the ongoing works for the construction of the government city in Dodoma.

 

Ambassador Kusiluka expressed the concern during a special visit by the Permanent Secretaries at the project’s site, located at the fringe of the Dodoma Capital City, in Mtuma area.


He said implementation of the country’s major project was proceeding well and at good pace and needed quality.

“We have been impressed with the speed and standards in the implementation of this major project. This project is of paramount important to the government of Tanzania as all  ministries will be shelted in this area,” he said.


Airing further observations, he said during the tour the Permanent Secretaries have spotted some minor challenges which need to be rectified.

“The good thing is that there’s still ample time to repair the small mistakes that we have noticed in the erection of this potential City, the involving experts must bridge efforts to ensure this project finalise in framed time and needed standards, ” he urged.


He insisted that the mega project was consuming billions of money accrued from the country’s tax payers and thus, it was prudent for the involving contractors to ensure the works reflects value for such lucrative money.

He thanked President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for providing funds to implement the project, and giving freedom to the experts to do professional work as they should, and advising many stakeholders to chip in the project.

For his part, Secretary General in the office of the Prime Minister, Policy, Parliament and Coordination Dr. Jimy Yonaz said the need for the relevant high-profile experts to take part in the construction of the city was very essential. 

Similarily, he challenged various stakeholders to invest into various areas that have been allocated in the key city.
